FOOD DRIVE - Saint Cecelia's Golden Knights Football and Cheerleading

The St. Cecilia’s Golden Knights football players, cheerleaders, coaches, and board members are dedicated to serving our community through community outreach projects and fundraisers.  One of their goals is to instill in our youth the importance of giving to those in need.

And so, the Golden Knights football and cheerleading organization is proud to announce the beginning of their new Food Drive Challenge!
From now through August 20th, 2011, the Golden Knights will be collecting food pantry items to be donated to our local food pantry at St. Cecilia’s Church in Iselin.

To challenge each kid to participate, they've set goals for each person to strive for.  And to really motivate the kids to achieve these goals, the Golden Knights organization has added a fun and exciting new twist to the annual community service project.  They have issued a challenge - “Bring a Can, Throw a Pie!”   Players and cheerleaders who participate have a chance to smother their coaches, director, and president in pie!

It's fun for a good cause, and it's sure to get the attention of the kids... and it will probably get the attention of their coaches, as well!

YOU can support the food drive too - just bring some canned food down to Merrill Park any evening during football practice, until August 20th.  Find a Golden Knight or Golden Knight Cheerleader, and they'll take the donation for you.
