DAY TRIP:
Silverball Museum, Asbury Park

Last weekend, when we went to Asbury Park, one of the places we went to was the Silverball Museum... and WOW, what a great idea! If you want to check the place out, go to the link HERE.

The Silverball Museum is all old school pinball games, from all different eras. Yes, there were a few classic video games... but mostly? It's a baby boomer dream come true. And it doesn't cost a fortune, because you pay a really reasonable admission to get in, and then play all you want during the set time period for free. No pumping quarters into the machine. It was my childhood dreams come true. Although I must admit it made the possibility of "matching" a game much less exciting... but then again, so what?

I remember the old days, playing PINBALL, not video games, over at SpacePort in Woodbridge Center... or in Lamstons, remember that place? And Frank remembers playing at the 7-11 on St. George Avenue. He said that there was one pinball game in there he used to go play. Or playing pinball on the board walk, in the arcades, right? But now, when you go into the arcade, you can't even find ONE pinball game. Which is where the Silverball Museum comes in.

Just think. You can go down to the beach, and have a nice lunch, and walk along the boardwalk, and play some pinball. Just like the old days! We had so much fun, I can't wait to go again!
