But, on the other hand, it is news.
And if you live in Iselin, you should definitely be aware. Be sure to lock up your doors and windows. ... And maybe you want to get an alarm system. Couldn't hurt.
From THE HOME NEWS TRIBUNE's Police Blotter:
Nearly $2,000 worth of gaming equipment and games were reported stolen from a Iselin home after someone removed a window air-conditioning unit.
A 50-year-old man living on Cherry Street in the Iselin section told police he was watching television in the living room at about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday when he heard a commotion from his son’s bedroom.
He went to his son’s bedroom and the lock was locked, but he heard someone in the room making noise. When he unscrewed the lock off the door and entered, there was no one in the room, but someone had removed the air-conditioning unit from the window and entered the room.
Reported missing was a Xbox 360 worth $400, a Wii unit worth $200, five Wii games worth $50 each, and 15 to 20 Xbox 360 games worth $60 each. Each of the units was unplugged before being removed, police said.
