According to mayor McCormac, “Drop-a-Ton” encouraged Woodbridge community members to engage in an active and healthy lifestyle and to develop a weight loss regimen that included fitness and exercise routines combined with healthy menu and diet. The three-month weight loss challenge was a huge success, with a total reported weight loss of nearly 1,500 pounds from 152 participants who “Liked” Drop-a-Ton on Facebook.  Woodbridge “Drop-a-Ton” is donating $1,500 to “We Feed Woodbridge” - one dollar representing every pound shed.

In closing out “Drop-A-Ton,” Mayor McCormac and the Mayor’s Wellness Campaign introduced the next Township-wide wellness campaign - “Moves Like Woodbridge”…a celebration of fitness inspired by the popular Maroon 5 song “Moves Like Jagger.”  “Moves Like Woodbridge” is an all-encompassing fitness campaign designed to encourage the entire community – school children to Senior residents - to engage in regular fitness routines and to guide participants to engage an exercise and wellness routine that fits their lifestyle.
