... WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM EST THIS AFTERNOON...
* HAZARD TYPES... SNOW... SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN.
* ACCUMULATIONS... SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 3 TO 5 INCHES... ALONG WITH UP TO A TENTH OF AN INCH OF ICE.
* TIMING... SNOW WILL FALL MODERATE AT TIMES THROUGH ABOUT 9 AM BEFORE MIXING WITH SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN. PRECIPITATION WILL BE TAPERING OFF DURING MIDDAY OR EARLY THIS AFTERNOON BUT TEMPERATURES MAY NOT RISE ABOVE FREEZING. A HARD FREEZE WILL FOLLOW TONIGHT.
* AS OF 630 AM... MANY REPORTS OF 2 TO 3 INCHES IN THIS AREA ALREADY.
* IMPACTS... WIDESPREAD SLIPPERY DRIVING AND WALKING... ESPECIALLY ON UNTREATED ROADWAYS AND SIDEWALKS.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW... SLEET... OR FREEZING RAIN WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SLIPPERY ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES... AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING.
