Wow! I didn't expect that! However, if you haven't been on the Parent Access Portal before, I guess you will be now, huh? Really, it's a smart idea on the schools part. I am sure that they have been told by the "powers that be" in the State of NJ that they must find more ways of cutting back, but legally, they are required to follow certain practices - which are expensive - and they can't cut any of THOSE. They can't cut back on safety, and they can't cut back on the education itself, so they are left with finding other ways of eliminating expense. What's left?
So, if you are a parent of a JFK High School Student, and you haven't signed up for the Genesis Parent Access already, you need to go to the JFK website HERE, and scroll down the page until you find this:
Please click on the link below for the survey/questionnaire that parents need to fill out to register for the Parent Access. http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/WTSD-ParentAccessRegistrationYou'll fill out the survey and you'll get instructions for how to log in. It might take a few days to get your password and stuff, but then, once you have it, you can check your child's grades obsessively twice a day if you feel like it. Yeah, your kid should love that.
