Congratulations to
New Eagle Scout Sagar Vira!

Scoutmaster Bob Gill with new Eagle Scout Sagar Vira

Sagar Vira of Iselin was officially inducted into the Rank of Eagle Scout today in a ceremony held at the Woodbridge Township Ambulance and Rescue Squad.

 In order to attain this rank, he needed to work his way through the ranks of Scout, Tenderfoot, 2nd Class, 1st Class, Star, and Live; he earned 26 Merit badges; he served in 6 different leadership positions.  And finally, he completed an Eagle Service Project - one of my favorite projects ever - building bat houses!

His activities included
camping 94 nights;
hiking and backpacking 129 miles;
25 miles canoeing;
and 5 summer camps.

 He has given 189 hours of community service -- well, I actually think it's more than that, because a list of his activities is very impressive!

He earned the Arrow of Light in Cub Scouts,  received the Gettysburg and Valley Forge Medals, he's been to the Boy Scout Jamboree and to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico, and
he's earned his Order of the Arrow.
