I love to read the email I get
from Jaffe Communications every day, called "The Morning Briefing."
It's just a few bits of interesting news every day, presented with a little Jersey-style humor. This is
from them, this morning.
The demise of the U.S. Postal Service is like watching a train wreck in slow motion.
It's painful to watch, but you can't look away. The latest nail in the
coffin is a postage increase that goes into effect on January 22,
raising the price of a first-class stamp to 45 cents. The postal service
lost $8 billion in 2010, and projects 2011 will be even uglier, as even
grandma has finally figured out Facebook.
