Venturing is a co-ed Scouting program for youth aged 14 to 21. The program is planned and organized by the youth themselves, with guidance from adult advisers, so each Venture Crew can have a highly individualized program based on the interests of the kids involved. Crew 125 is primarily an outdoors-oriented crew. Their activities have range from camping, backpacking, hiking, and canoeing, to rock climbing and target shooting. Fundamental to the Venturing program is leadership training and community involvement; Crew 125 has run several leadership courses and has been active in a variety of charitable activities.

The Silver Award is the highest award that can be earned in Venturing, and could be considered similar to the Eagle Scout award in Boy Scouts.
